'Unicycle: Looking at My World' (1976) 15m, dir. Dan Bessie. The world of 15 year old unicyclist Tony Marienthal includes visits to assist the elderly, learning new juggling tricks, and trying to make it home for supper. The film is a wonderful, idyllic "day in the life" film of a teen-ager. It's also somewhat bittersweet, as Tony Marienthal, who wanted his baby son to see this film, died at the young age of 51. Stark, realistic documentary showing poorly educated "mountain peoples" living in poverty and stricken with disease. CANDY MATSON, YUKON 2-8209 Candy Matson was the private eye star of Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209 , an NBC West Coast show which first aired in March 1949 and was created by Monty Masters. He cast his wife, Natalie Parks, in the title role of this sassy, sexy PI. Her understated love interest, Lt. Ray Mallard, was played by Henry Leff while her assistant and best pal, aptly named Rembrandt Watson, was the voice of Jack Thomas. Every show opened with a ringing telephone and our lady PI answering it...

Based somewhat on my unpopular YouTube series "Compilation of Miscellaneous Footage". This 2nd-edition was created using leftover clips that weren't used in part 1, so there is more repetition of similar clips. Footage is taken from old public domain shows, or from public domain commercials, or from old fall preview promos.

This is a digitized version of an in-store cassette tape that was played within a Kmart store. See the title of the file for the month and year. I worked at Kmart between 1989 and 1999 and held onto them with the hopes that they would be of use some day. Enjoy!

The late Gladys "Gee Gee" Hill from Houston's KCOH. The station, the first black-oriented radio station in Texas, started in 1953 as a "sunup to sundown" broadcaster and is still on the air today, bringing a mixture of talk, R&B, zydeco, gospel and more from the 1430 spot on the dial, twenty-four hours a day. Hill was one of a handful of female DJs to make a mark in the history of classic R&B radio (Detroit's Martha Jean "The Queen" and Chicago's Merry Dee...

Irish bagpipes solo, Ted Levy - piano, Victor 18286. The first and last are lyrics of Thomas Moore's, Killarney is a composition of Michael Balfe, a Dublin born opera composer. This tune was also recorded on cylinder by piper Patsy Touhey, and flute player John Sheridan paired Believe Me and Killarney on a 78 in the late 20s. These are all sentimental songs which would've brought many a tear to audiences of the vaudeville houses Ennis and Touhey performed in.
